Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank appoints new CEO to ‘accelerate growth strategy’

DUBAI: Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has appointed Nasser Abdulla Al-Awadhi as a new group chief executive officer as part of the institution's 2025 growth strategy. 

The new chief has 33 years of experience in banking and Islamic finance. He is joining from Dubai Islamic Bank, where he served as a group chief of consumer banking since March 2018. 

“The Board is pleased to have appointed Nasser Al Awadhi as Group CEO. Nasser was our standout choice and brings a wealth of leadership experience in both Islamic finance and banking,” Jawaan Awaidha Suhail Al-Khaili, ADIB’s chairman, said. 

Al-Awadhi said he will focus on ADIB’s vision to become an innovative Islamic bank, combining digital services with Sharia-compliant products and services.
