International banking giant HSBC has named Jon Connor as head of advisory and Investment banking for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey region.
Connor has 23 years of experience in investment baking, including 15 years in HSBC in Asia and Europe.
“This appointment demonstrates the importance of MENAT to HSBC’s global growth strategy, the aspirations we have for our Global Banking business here,” Garteh Thomas, head of global banking in MENAT at HSBC, said.
He added it was particularly important as the bank takes an active role in the region’s transport, logistics, infrastructure, and construction sectors, which are “fundamental to the ambitious economic diversification strategies of our clients in the region.”
