Saudi Arabia announces 7 more COVID-19 deaths

  • The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom has increased to 354,899
  • A total of 6,272 people have succumbed to the virus in the Kingdom so far

LONDON: Saudi Arabia announced 7 deaths from COVID-19 and 118 new infections on Wednesday.
Of the new cases, 43 were recorded in Riyadh, 38 in Makkah, 14 in the Eastern Province, 7 in Asir, 4 in Madinah, 3 in Jazan and 1 in Najran.
The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom increased to 354,899 after 144 more patients recovered from the virus.
A total of 6,272 people have succumbed to the virus in the Kingdom so far.

US embassy in Riyadh attacked with drones: Saudi defense ministry

  • The embassy issued a shelter in place notice for Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam

RIYADH: US embassy in Riyadh was targeted by drones, resulting in a small fire and minor damage to the building,  Saudi Ministry of Defense said. 

US embassy in Riyadh was empty at the time of the strike, and no injuries were reported yet.

The embassy issued a shelter in place notice for Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam.
