LONDON: Saudi Arabia announced 19 deaths from COVID-19 and 224 new infections on Sunday.
Of the new cases, 51 were recorded in Riyadh, 21 in Yanbu, 19 in Makkah, 17 in Madinah, 9 in Buraidah and 8 in Jeddah.
The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom increased to 343,371 after 489 more patients recovered from the virus.
A total of 5,780 people have succumbed to the virus in the Kingdom so far.

Saudi foreign minister holds calls with Pakistani, Turkish counterparts
RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held calls with his Pakistani and Turkish counterparts, the Saudi foreign ministry announced early on Saturday.
In separate phone conversations with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Prince Faisal discussed regional developments and joint efforts to achieve security and stability.
