DAMMAM: Work on the King Fahd Suburb Park project is nearing completion, said the municipality of Jubail governorate on Saturday.
In a statement, it said the project is part of the municipality’s efforts to increase green spaces and boost the quality of living in the governorate.
The project is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 plan, which envisages the development of the country’s cities along modern lines without compromising on the quality of life and ensuring the humanization of Saudi cities.
Jubail Mayor Nayef bin Faisal Al-Duwaish said the project is part of the Humanization of Cities initiative.
Vision 2030 has identified 12 urbanization programs focusing on improving the quality of services, focusing on the needs of the regions, and highlighting their competitive advantage.
The project includes a garden spread over 32,000 sq. meters. It consists of spaces for families, playgrounds, a network of pedestrian paths, children’s play areas, and parking lots for visitors.
The fenced project has different entry points to effectively manage the crowd. It has been designed to provide citizens and expatriates a perfect place to spend their time amid natural beauty.
Since the launch of the Vision 2030 plan, work on such development projects is in full swing across the Kingdom. The aim of such projects is also to boost domestic tourism.

Prince Faisal chairs first meeting of Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute board

RIYADH: Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies, chaired the Institute’s first Board of Directors meeting following its reconstitution, it was reported on Sunday.

At the outset of the meeting, Prince Faisal congratulated dignitaries, members of the board, on the issuance of the Cabinet decision to reconstitute the institute’s board, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The meeting reviewed the institute’s vision and core objectives, along with its strategic programmes and mechanisms for developing its work in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, SPA added.

Discussions also focused on the institute’s role in building national diplomatic capabilities, enhancing human resources, and supporting the Kingdom’s active and influential presence on the international stage.
