Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province municipality conducts 3,984 inspection tours

  • A total of 207 violations in markets and malls were recorded, as well as 110 violations of overcrowding in malls, and 8 violations of overcrowding in workers’ accommodations

DAMMAM: A total of 3,984 inspection tours were conducted during the first week of August to ensure commercial entities abide by health protocols and implement coronavirus disease (COVID-19) precautionary measures in the Eastern Province.
The Eastern Province municipality carried out these inspections in addition to 30 joint tours to ensure the implementation of the protocols according to the requirements determined by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs in markets, malls and commercial centers across several cities and governorates in the region.
A total of 207 violations in markets and malls were recorded, as well as 110 violations of overcrowding in malls, and 8 violations of overcrowding in workers’ accommodations.
In all, 4,302 sites were disinfected and sanitized, and 52,940 tons of household waste from neighborhoods, streets and public institutions was collected.

RIYADH: More than 2,500 families will be provided housing under agreements worth SR311 million ($83 million) signed recently, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday.

The deals were inked with nonprofit organizations in the presence of Municipalities and Housing Minister Majid Al-Hogail, under the Al-Jood Menna Wa Feena campaign, which is affiliated to the Jood Housing platform.

The event was aimed at strengthening partnerships with the nonprofit sector to support developmental housing, the SPA reported.

Al-Hogail said these partnerships contribute to initiatives that will ensure stability for eligible families.
