MADINAH: Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman on Saturday stressed the importance of collaboration and cooperation between the National Water Co. (NWC) and relevant government agencies to improve the efficiency of water and sanitation services in the region, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
He noted that there were 69 projects being implemented in the region with an estimated value of SR3 billion ($780 million).
Prince Faisal’s statement came during his meeting with the officials of the northwest sector of the NWC, and director general of water services in the region.
Prince Faisal said there was an urgent need to complete the projects, taking into account environmental protection measures, to provide the best services in line with the highest international levels.
The governor also reviewed a presentation on water and sanitation service projects, strategies to improve them, and future plans for 2021.

RIYADH: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a telephone call on Saturday from US President Donald Trump, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Trump expressed Washington's condemnation of the blatant missile attacks against the Kingdom, which were intercepted by the Kingdom's air defenses.
He affirmed US support for the Kingdom and its backing of all measures taken by the Kingdom to confront these Iranian violations that undermine the security and stability of the region, SPA added.
