NCC meets today as Covid-19 situation worsens

June 1: Dawn report by Amir Wasim states that as Pakistan is set to surpass China among the most affected pandemic-hit countries with a sudden rise in Covid-19 cases, a crucial meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) to be presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan will be held on Monday (today) to decide the future strategy though the federal government has already declared that the lockdown option is not under active consideration.

Sindh reports highest detection rate as coronavirus cases soar to 213,470

July 3: Pakistan Today states that Sindh reported a record 28 per cent detection rate on Wednesday as 2,139 of 8,201 people tested positive for the coronavirus, while the nationwide tally of cases soared to 213,470 with 4,133 new cases emerging in the past 24 hours.
