First-of-its-kind Global Cybersecurity Forum to kick off in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: More than 140 speakers are set to participate in Saudi Arabia’s Global Cybersecurity Forum, which will kick off in Riyadh on Tuesday to address global cyber opportunities and challenges.

The event, considered the first-of-its-kind, will be inaugurated on Tuesday under the patronage of King Salman at the Ritz Carlton from Feb. 4- 5.

The speakers, including 1,200 cybersecurity experts from 63 different countries, will take part in the forum, attended by well-known global cybersecurity companies.The conference aims to develop the cybersecurity sector in the Kingdom. 

Across two days more than 50 sessions will take place aiming to strengthen international collaboration and facilitate the launch of both national and international initiatives to create a secure and prosperous cyber world.

The speakers include a number of ministers and leaders of government agencies for cybersecurity in addition to a number of leaders of international organizations in this field.

Saudi foreign minister meets with GCC Secretary-General in Riyadh

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with the Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Budaiwi in Riyadh on Sunday.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed progress on joint GCC cooperation and discussed ways to strengthen coordination across a range of fields to support further integration and cohesion among member states, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The meeting was also attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Multilateral International Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Rassi.
