  • Officially founded in 1961, the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association’s message since its initiation is to strengthen its relations with educational institutions and social bodies working in the social and youth welfare fields

FLORIDA: Saudi scouts paid a visit to the headquarters of the Florida State scouts at Lanushi Scout Camp in Orlando, Florida, on Friday. This was part of a training trip organized by the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association and the Boys Scouts of America for more than 100 scholars and scout leaders.
Scouts Field Services Manager Chris Crowley and Camp Scout Mike Evano briefed the visitors on the state’s scouting history dating back to 1910, and the local council system of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and the Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA) in Florida.
The participants also learned about the hobby badges and the merit badges system and the mechanism of granting the Eagle Scout badge, the highest scout badge in America, as well as the policy for developing scout leadership and American qualification, membership development, educational and media publications, and the accounting and information center.
Officially founded in 1961, the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association’s message since its initiation is to strengthen its relations with educational institutions and social bodies working in the social and youth welfare fields, while working closely with Arab, Islamic and international scouts bodies.
