RIYADH: Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh met with Zinedine Zidane, manager of Real Madrid football club on Sunday.
Zidane held an an informal meeting with Alalshikh to check on his health and to discuss future joint projects.
During the meeting, the former footballer gifted him a “Zidane” Real Madrid shirt and signed the Almería football club shirt that Alalshikh was wearing.


Alalshikh acquired Almería in August, replacing Alfonso García Gabarrón.
The meeting comes as the Kingdom is gearing up to host the Spanish Super Cup over the next three years later this month.
The tournament will include four teams, for the first time in its history, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Valencia.

Saudi FM receives call from Somali counterpart

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a telephone call from his Somali counterpart Abdisalam Abdi Ali on Wednesday, Saudi Press Agency reported. 

During the call, the two officials affirmed the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Somalia and discussed the latest developments in the region. A number of issues of common interest were also discussed.
