King Salman calls Iraqi president, expresses Kingdom’s keenness on stability in Iraq

  • The king emphasised the importance of defusing the crisis in the region
  • He added all measures to reduce tension in the region should be taken

RIYADH: King Salman called Iraqi President Barham Salih on Saturday and expressed the Kingdom’s keenness on establishing stability in Iraq, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. 

The king also emphasised the importance of defusing the crisis in the region and taking all measures to reduce tension in it.

Salih thanked the king for the Kingdom’s interest in Iraq’s security and stability.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also spoke to Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call on Friday from Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.
During the call, they discussed recent regional developments and the ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions in support of the region’s security and stability.
