ISLAMABAD: State-run Pakistan Television (PTV) is set to air an animated series from China on their English channel, PTV World, on May 18th, where it will play every Saturday for six weeks.
Ahead of its release on PTV World, clips and episodes of the Chinese Folk Opera Cartoon Series, Three Drops of Blood, were screened on Friday at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad where veteran actor and PNCA director Jamal Shah spoke of the series’ relatable content for Pakistani viewers due to cultural similarities between Pakistan and China.
Managing Director of PTV, Hassan Immad Mohammadi said the cartoon drama was a significant addition to their programming, and hinted toward a wider relationship of film exchanges between Pakistan and China.
The series, based on an 1918 novel, covers fantastical and tangible themes across life in the royal courts, human relationships, ghost stories and folklore. It is a part of China’s masterpiece and classical literature narratives.
