Pakistan’s Republic Day parade in Islamabad on Saturday was a colorful showcase of its military might with missiles, jets, drones and tanks alongside the aerial aerobatics and force formations of Turkish and Chinese pilots. Malaysian premier Mahathir Mohamed was chief guest at the event, with troops from Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Sri Lanka and Bahrain also featured in the parade. Prime Minister Imran Khan, President Arif Alvi, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa among other senior defense chiefs were also present at the annual parade which pays homage to every segment of the Pakistan military.
