Mufarreh Nahari, director at the Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission

Mufarreh Nahari has been the director of Market Studies at the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) since July 2018. He also worked as a market studies analyst at CITC from November 2009 until October 2013.

Nahari attained his bachelor’s degree in marketing from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, in 2007.

He started his career at Cisco Systems, a networking hardware company, in September 2007 as a Cisco NetVersity account manager. He worked in different departments and positions including channel account manager and territory manager of the Cisco Entrepreneur Institute until October 2009.

Nahari also worked at Mobily as executive manager of wholesale marketing from November 2013 to January 2017. He then became the director of business marketing and worked in this position till July 2018.

Speaking at the annual Communications and Information Technology Indicators Forum in Riyadh, Nahari said: “It is expected that by 2020 the experimental uses of 5G will be fully completed and they will be ready to launch the official 5G sim by then. By the end of 2020 we expect that 5G will be used in 30 percent of the big cities in Saudi Arabia.”

Prince Faisal holds talks with Egyptian foreign minister at WEF

  • Saudi foreign minister also meets with the Palestinian prime minister

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held talks with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday.

The ministers discussed developments in the region and a “number of topics of mutual interest,” the Saudi Foreign Ministry said.

Prince Faisal earlier met with the Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, with the pair discussing developments in Gaza.

He also held talks with David van Weel, the Netherlands foreign minister.
