ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister of Pakistan’s southern province of Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan met with Saudi ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki in Islamabad on Wednesday.
“They discussed matters related to bilateral interests in the meeting,” the Saudi Embassy tweeted after the meeting without sharing any further details.
Saudi Arabia plans to set up a multi-billion dollar oil refinery in the deep-sea port of Gwadar in Balochistan and Pakistan is expected to sign a deal this month during the upcoming visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Islamabad.
Earlier in January this year, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources and the Chairman of the Board of Saudi Aramco visited Gwadar to oversee the development work there.
