RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Tunisia's Prime Minister Youssef Chahed have signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) between the governments of both states at the Al-Auja Palace in Diriyah, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The agreements were signed on the Kingdom’s side by Ahmed Aqeel Al-Khateeb of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), and on the Tunisian side, by Tunisian Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation Ziad Al-Athari. They signed a loan agreement for the implementation of the second phase of the Integrated Agricultural Development Project in Joumin, Ghazala and Sijnan in Tunisia.
The loan agreement, between the SFD and Tunisia, is aimed at improving the supply of potable water in the rural area of the Tunisian governorate of Bizerte.
A MoU was also signed to extend the Saudi grant for maintenance of the King Abdulaziz Mosque in the Tunisian capital of Tunis.
