Yemeni army advances in country's Hajjah province

DUBAI: Yemen’s army advanced into the Hiran district of Hajjah province following fierce clashes with the Houthi militia, Saudi state-news channel Al-Ekhbariya reported.
A senior army official said several strategic sites were liberated during a large-scale offensive in the Hiran valley.
Yemeni troops were closing in on the strategic link between Haradh and Hodeidah, the official said in a statement to the Yemeni Armed Forces media center.
The military official highlighted that fighting was still ongoing and that several militants had been killed, while others fled toward the capital Sana’a.
