Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) and Ericsson are developing an IoT (Internet of Things) program, which is said to be the first-of-its-kind in the Kingdom. It aims to create an interactive platform between the university students and staff in order to develop IoT, both locally and internationally.
Mobily said the initiative is in line with the company’s keenness to develop and keep up with the latest technologies around the world. Mobily aims to place the Kingdom at the forefront of the IoT revolution, which is part of its ambitious vision.
The IoT partnership agreement was signed between Mobily and Ericsson at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona by Ahmed Aboudoma, Mobily CEO, and Rafia Ibrahim, Ericsson chief in MENA.
The partnership agreement aims to support and facilitate platforms available for young Saudis to participate and be creative in the IoT field, supporting the Kingdom’s digital transformation.
Mobily recently sponsored and participated in the first Saudi International Exhibition and Conference for Internet of Things.
