Pakistan condemns missile attack on Saudi Arabian city Narjan

Islamabad: Pakistan on Tuesday strongly condemned the latest ballistic missile attack, carried out by Houthi terrorist militia on the city of Najran in Saudi Arabia.
The missile was fired by Yemen’s Shiite Houthi rebels on Jan. 5.
“Pakistan commends the government of Saudi Arabia for destroying the missile before it caused any civilian casualties,” Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry statement said, adding that “it is however concerned at reports that there was some damage to property.”
Pakistan once again reiterated its position that it stands firmly with Saudi Arabia in confronting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
“The government reiterates its full support and solidarity with the leadership, the government and people of Saudi Arabia against any threats to its territorial integrity and threats against Harmain Sharifain,” the statement said.
Royal Saudi Air Defense forces intercepted a ballistic missile fired on Najran.
Late last month in statement Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry expressed its concerns on “the increasing frequency and ferocity of the missile attacks, targeted at innocent civilians by Houthi rebels, pose a threat to regional peace and security.”
