Union condemns Israeli attacks on Palestinian journalists

RIYADH: The Arab Journalists’ Union has condemned Israeli attacks on Palestinian journalists, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The union pointed out that about 740 violations against journalists had taken place, 28 journalists had been arrested and 158 Facebook pages had been closed down.

The union called on member guilds and unions to stand in solidarity with Palestinian journalists and their collective cause.

It called on trade unions, legal organizations, parties and political forces in the Arab world to take action and speak up to affirm the stance of Arab and Muslim nations in the face Israeli aggression, as well as the US decision to move its embassy to Jerusalem.
