Daily Pakistan report by web desk from Islamabad states that Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa briefed the Senate Committee of the Whole House on national security during an extraordinary in-camera session chaired by Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani during which he said that army only played a role to end the crisis caused by Islamabad sit-in in response to the request made by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Army Chief Bajwa also offered to resign if army’s involvement in the three-week long sit-in was proved.
