American skier Vonn receives medical attention after Super-G run

ST. MORITZ, Switzerland: American skier Lindsey Vonn appeared to be injured as she crossed the line in the World Cup Super-G at Saint-Moritz and received medical attention on Saturday.
After she finished, Vonn lay down and then struggled to stand up again. Bent over, as if she had pain in the small of her back, 33-year-old Vonn then made her way into a tent reserved for competitors.
Swiss skier Jasmine Flury finished first with compatriot Michelle Gisin in second, one-tenth of a second behind. Tina Weirather of Liechtenstein was third. Vonn recorded the 17th best time.
According to a source close to the American team, Vonn seemed to be suffering from a hip problem.
An ambulance drove up but departed empty and a doctor arrived to examine Vonn.
The American is one of the most successful skiers in history and has made the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang her priority for the season.
Vonn said Thursday she would not go to the White House for a post-Winter Olympics reception, aligning herself with other athletes who have protested against President Donald Trump
