Dior’s first of its kind Perfume & Beauty Boutique opened its doors in the capital’s Hayat Mall amid much fanfare.
The 90 sq. m space brings together all of Dior fragrances, makeup and skincare, and provides exclusive new services. The boutique’s opening day event last week was attended by local and regional beauty and fashion bloggers, who became the first ones to check out the boutique and meet with Dior’s beauty experts.
Eight young beauty, perfume and skincare professionals work at the boutique, ready to offer their professional expertise to those looking for it.
Yasmine, a makeup artist at the boutique, said many Saudi women visit the boutique seeking guidance and tips to achieve a perfectly flawless makeup look. “One of the most asked questions is how to apply foundation and what are the different kinds of foundations. Lucky them we have a private makeup room that does not have surveillance cameras, offering total privacy to women and giving us the freedom to actually apply the makeup on them and match their skin with the perfect foundation,” she said.
Another question Yasmine is always asked is about makeup brushes. “Women here need directions to find what suits them best when it comes to choosing the perfect tool for their makeup products. It is very important to use the right brush or sponge when applying your makeup and we here help with that depending on what kind of coverage you need — full, medium or light — and match it with the right makeup brush,” she added.
When it comes to skin care, Hajar, a skincare specialist, is more than enthusiastic to help women with their skincare options according to their skin types and needs. “I have noticed that women here face problems not knowing what is their skin type, this makes them always choose the wrong skincare products and does not solve their skin problems,” she said. “My job is to ask them about their problems, test their skin type, find the perfect skincare products for them and finally demonstrate the professional way to use Dior’s skincare products,” she added.
When it comes to perfumes, Christian Dior once said: “It is as important for a woman to have beautiful perfume as it is for her to have beautiful clothes.”
The boutique offers their exclusive perfume luxury line La Collection Privée Christian Dior, a collection of 12 signature scents created by François Demachy, Dior’s Perfume Creator, which is only sold in the boutique. The best sellers in the Middle East are the Amber Nuit, Oud Ispahan and Gris Montaigne. A perfume specialist is available at the boutique to guide the customers on how to choose the perfect scent.
Dior makeup artists are permanently on hand to share their professional and personalized tips. Upon request, they can also recreate makeup looks from the Dior runway. Shaikha, another makeup artist in the boutique, likes to mingle with each costumer to educate, teach, pamper and simply have a laugh. “I like to take my time with all my costumers because women simply like to be pampered. This is why I invest in our relationship with our costumers. When a costumer asks a question, I take her to the private makeup room and start by cleansing her face, applying makeup and talking while pampering her from A to Z. Women like to be pampered, why not spoil them with Dior’s luxury treatment,” she added.
In a luxurious and graphic décor of black lacquer and fluorescent neon shades, the different Dior universes are clearly and stylishly defined. From ceiling to floor, rails of light delimit the distinct spaces, marking out a path between the different zones. Screens continuously play films in which the Dior products shine forth. Fully designed to offer to the Saudi Arabian clientele all the excellence and know-how of Dior, this new boutique is a grand premiere entirely devoted to Dior fragrances, makeup and skincare. There are private consultation rooms whereby clients are treated to an array of services by fragrance specialists, makeup experts, and skincare specialists.

Tiffany Trump steps out in Saiid Kobeisy gown
DUBAI: Tiffany Trump is proving to be a fan of Lebanese designer Saiid Kobeisy’s designs.
This week, Trump’s 31-year-old daughter wore one of his gowns to the Kennedy Center Honors, an annual event held at the White House that recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to American culture through the performing arts.
For the occasion, Tiffany opted for a floor-length emerald-green velvet gown with a sweetheart neckline and long fitted sleeves, cinched at the waist with a slim belt and finished with a thigh-high front slit.
She has previously chosen Kobeisy for other high-profile appearances. In September, Tiffany wore another of his designs to the state banquet held during US President Donald Trump’s visit to the UK, stepping out in a blue quartz couture gown paired with a beaded clutch by the designer. Styled by Toni Breisse, the look was completed with jewelry by Samer Halimeh.
Tiffany is known for her affinity with Lebanese designers; at her 2022 wedding to Lebanese-born businessman Michael Boulos, she donned a custom-made Grecian-style gown by Elie Saab.
Tiffany chose her wedding dress as a nod to Boulos’ heritage. “It’s a Lebanese American wedding, so we were so happy to have Elie Saab create the magic,” said mother of the bride Marla Maples, according to People magazine at the time.
In January, she turned heads in a dress by Zuhair Murad at the Trump-Vance inauguration candlelight dinner, hosted at the National Building Museum in Washington. The custom chocolate-brown chiffon gown boasted an asymmetric one-shoulder neckline, and a dramatic cape-like sleeve.
