JEDDAH: More than 150 orphans, with their minders from the Friends of the Community Charity, enjoyed the children’s theater and plays, and cartoon characters such as Angry Birds, Kung Fu Panda 3, at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events during the Jeddah Summer Festival.
Mohammed bin Abdul Raheem, the director of the summer festival, said they welcomed the children with special needs and orphans from the charity as their social responsibility.
He explained that the children enjoyed various activities and events at the festival, especially the theatrical and visual performances. He also said that a number of families attended the events at the center to enjoy these events.
Abdul Raheem said the entire children’s program presentations for children and families, was prepared with special effects, professional equipment, actors, language and special programs to entertain children and families according to the level of understanding of the children.
He explained the programs were prepared with the cooperation of global firms films such as Angry Birds, Kung Fu Panda 3, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the children’s theater snow and play garden, and other global theater attractions for screened for children. “These plays are one of the prominent landmarks of world literature,” he said.
He said these shows, that were arranged for the children’s theater and entrainment program, were already shown in the Middle East and the Gulf, and have received worldwide acclaim after presentation in several countries, where many Saudi artists, technicians, dancers, writers, directors, filmmakers and costume designers participated.
Children who came to enjoy the theater thanked the organizers and said they had a great time with all the cartoon characters, especially Snow White and Seven Dwarfs and Angry Birds.
Seven-year-old Mohamed Aziz Shoukani said that watching theater and live cartoon characters was amazing.
