Pakistan confirms first two cases of coronavirus

Feb 27: Pakistan has detected its first two cases of novel coronavirus, a public health advisor to Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted Wednesday, days after Islamabad closed its land border with Iran, where 19 people have died from the virus.

IMF working on Pakistan’s request of $1.4b

March 28: The Nation report by Imran Ali Kundi states that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is working expeditiously to respond to Pakistan’s request for additional financing of $1.4 billion to increase foreign exchange reserves and budgetary support for fighting adverse impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
