ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Consul General in Jeddah Khalid Majid met with Governor of Najran Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed and discussed the prospects of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries, Pakistan’s consulate in Jeddah said in a statement on Wednesday.
“The governor praised strong relations between the Kingdom and Pakistan which are characterized by ties of religion, unity of positions and destiny,” the statement said.
“The consul general expressed his thanks to the governor for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, expressing his admiration for the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the development and historic landmarks in the region,” the statement added.
Last month, the consul general said that Pakistan needed to enhance its share in the Saudi Economy as there was a lot of scope in edible items.
In a meeting with Pakistani goods importers in Jeddah, Majid said that “Saudi market imports more than $ 21 billion of food products for its consumption which is expected to increase multiple times in the coming years and it provides an opportunity to Pakistani exporters.”
According to a statement issued earlier this month, the consul general also informed that “Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have added tourism and related industry to their preferential industry.”
