December 11 – The Washington Times states that Pakistan’s anti-graft body says it has arrested a senior politician from former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s party over links to a multimillion-dollar housing scam. The National Accountability Bureau says Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother, who is also accused in the case, were arrested in Lahore after a court refused to extend their bail. Both are members of Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League.

January 10: Cricinfo reported The Pakistan Cricket Board [PCB] has appointed Mohammad Rizwan as the vice-captain of the T20I side ahead of the team's five-match series against New Zealand. January 9: DAWN has reported Former prime minister Imran Khan was arrested by Rawalpindi police in at least a dozen cases pertaining to the May 9 violence, including the attack on the General Headquarters (GHQ), as an accountability court in Islamabad indicted him and former first lady Bushra Bibi in the Toshakhana reference on Tuesday. Two more cops on polio duty martyred in Bannu
January 10: The Express Tribune reported At least two policemen deployed for polio duty in the Teri Ram area of Bannu district were martyred while three others injured during a gunfight with unidentified armed men on Tuesday. One of the three attackers was killed, the other was taken into custody in an injured condition while the third one managed to escape. Read more I
