DUBAI: An off-duty FBI agent accidentally shot a random bystander after performing a backflip while dancing in a bar in the US, according to a statement from police in Denver, Colorado.
A video on Twitter shows the agent dancing as a crowd looks on. He then performs a backflip, but his gun falls from its holster midway through the flip, lands on the floor and is accidentally triggered when the agent scrambles to pick it up.

According to the police statement, the officer “was dancing at a night club when his firearm became dislodged from its waistband holster and fell onto the floor. When the agent retrieved his hand gun an unintended discharge occurred.”
Denver district attorney spokesman Ken Lane said by email on Sunday morning that the DA’s office had no comment as the incident remains under investigation by the Denver Police.
Denver FBI spokeswoman Amy Sanders also said that Denver Police are leading the investigation and that it was a ‘personnel matter for the FBI.” She did not say how the FBI has or will discipline the agent.
